BIO:
Louise (Lu) Pryor was born in Sheffield, England, and lived in Uganda,
Kenya, Mauritious, London, and New Jersey before moving to Northern
California. For the last 18 years she has lived in the Sierra Nevada
Foothills, along with her husband, four children, three dogs, two cats
and 10 chickens.
After being a full time mom for 10 years, she went back to school
to study art and psychology, earning degrees' in Applied Art and Design,
and Multi Media Design. For 9 years she has been the part time art teacher
at a private K-8 school, and is very involved in many creative aspects
both thiere and in her family life. She has 4 years experience as a
muralist, having worked on murals at the Grass Valley Library, Nevada
County Adult Mental Heath, and two murals at The Laura Wilcox Brown
Memorial Building (CPS).
Her paintings of people are done primarily using the Permapaque®
pens, with acrylic used only to cover large areas. The pet portraits
use mostly acrylic paint, with Permapaque®
accents.
Lu is currently accepting commissions for portraits at reasonable
rates.
